Prime Minister Imran Khan promised the nation that his government would fight against corruption. Also, hold those accountable who have looted the nation and have plunged Pakistan on the verge of bankruptcy. And Faryal Talpur is bearing the full force of this promise in prison.
Moreover, the Prime Minister further promised that he would spare no one. And no NRO will be given to anyone. Moreover, no compromise would be done on the anti-corruption drive.
Imran Khan has blamed corrupt politicians for the current economic situation of the country. And has said that:
“All the corrupt people, who destroyed the country with a whopping debt of Rs 30,000 billion, would be brought to justice because unless such corrupt politicians and former rulers were not held accountable, the country could not progress”.
We can all agree with this statement of Imran Khan, and all the corrupt elements should be brought to justice and punished for what they have done to our country. Who can forget Imran Khan’s famous line “Mein inko rowlaon ga Mein chorunga nhi inko”.
Imran Khan Remains Committed
Well, Prime Minister Imran Khan certainly remained true to his words. He has not forgotten about the promise he made to the nation before being elected as the Prime Minister. As a result, many big names have been locked up in jail on the charges of corruption. Also, it seems like more arrests will be made in the future as well.
Recently Asif Ali Zardari’s sister Faryal Talpur was arrested by National Accountability Bureau (NAB). The charges against her of money laundering through alleged fake bank accounts. Moreover, her brother and the former President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari is also locked up in prison. While the President calls jail a second home, Faryal might have a different thought on that.
Faryal Talpur Comes Up With A List of Demands
Faryal Talpur has made very unusual demands in the court. As per the application filed by her lawyer she has demanded an Air condition, TV, Microwave oven, Mosquito killer lamp, and torch. Moreover, she demands an iPad to listen to the recitation of QURAN and last but not the least a maid! Yes, you read that right. It’s hard to believe that she actually made such a demand considering the nature of charges against her.
Court Rejects The Application
The application has not been entertained by the court. She is a prisoner and no special facility or treatment should be given to her and should be locked up like any other criminal. We can say that she does not compromise on comfort and luxury despite all the charges levelled against her, she wants to be treated like a Queen in prison. She is asking for too much. Let us remind Faryal Talpur that she is locked up in a prison, and is not on vacations or in a position to make any such sort of demands.
