Huawei Mate 30 Won’t Come With Google Apps Or Play Store

Huawei is a renowned telecommunication company around the world. The Chinese company is among the world’s top smartphone sellers. The tech giant is also known for its innovation. It has introduced smartphones with advanced hardware specs at nominal prices compared to its rivals. The Huawei Mate 30 is a glaring example of Huawei’s innovation.

During recent development, Huawei was backlisted by the US Commerce Department. It restricts American firms, including Google to do any kind of business with Huawei. This pushes Huawei into a really complex situation. This situation could be a set back for the launch of Huawei’s new flagship smartphone Mate 30.

According to Reuters, Huawei’s new product would come without some crucial features and applications licensed by Google. It is due to the restrictions by the US government.

Google Confirms the News Regarding Huawei Mate 30

Google’s representative has confirmed that Mate 30 might have limited features due to the exclusion of Google licensed apps and features. Although Huawei Mate 30 would use Android OS because it is open source at its core, but this OS won’t be licensed by Google anymore.

The US commerce department granted a 3-month extension to the Chinese tech giant. It allows Huawei to take necessary steps in providing services, support, and safety features from Google to its existing devices.

The grant was extended further for 90 days last week which would be concluded on November 19th. But unfortunately, this grant isn’t applicable in case of the new flagship by Huawei, The Mate30.

This means according to the recent situation, Huawei Mate 30 would be available for sale without Google Play Store and other Google apps. This could be a roadblock in the success of Huawei’s new flagship device.

Huawei is planning to release its high-end devices without any support from Google. This lands the fortune of Mate 30 in speculation. Mate 30 is a great device if we look at its hardware specs but would it be really effective without some crucial software features.

Huawei’s Own Operating System?

This situation might also work as a blessing in disguise for Huawei. According to reports from multiple media outlets, Huawei was also working on the development of its own OS platform for the last 7 years. The recent blockade from Google might lead Huawei to work on it swiftly and launch it as soon as possible.

This situation might work as a catalyst for the launch of Huawei’s own OS very soon. Huawei also disclosed the name of its OS recently. This indigenously developed OS by Huawei is named as “HongMeng OS”.

According to representatives from Huawei, their OS system is more effective and functional than Google’s Android. Huawei might launch their own OS in the last quarter of the year 2019.

So according to the recent situation, we can surely confirm that Huawei might launch their Flagship Mate30 without crucial software support and features from Google. The launch of Mate 30 is rumoured to be on September 18, 2019. Tech enthusiasts and the whole tech world is observing this situation very keenly.

This situation might become a milestone for the further success of Huawei or might act as a huge setback for the Chinese tech giant. All we can do is to wait for further development. We hope Google and Huawei set a roadmap to address the situation accordingly.
