Ayesha Khurram, a Pakistani student, got the best gift of her life from the renowned singer, Taylor Swift. It all started when Ayesha made an appeal online for people to help her with her tuition fee so that she could continue her education at Ontario University.
Ayesha and her family had been struggling hard to pay the university dues. And that’s when a friend proposed an idea. She asked Ayesha to drop her “Paypal” on the internet and ask people for donations. She did the same, and then fate played its role.
The American singer came across that appeal, and she instantly sent over $6000 in Ayesha’s account. In fact, she even added a note, saying “Ayesha, get your learn on girl. I love you! Taylor”.
Ayesha is a Taylor Swift Fan
The best part is that Ayesha is a die-hard fan of Taylor Swift and she even met her backstage at a concert on August 3rd, 2018. After a year, this surprise by Taylor Swift brought Ayesha and her family to tears.
She mentioned on the internet how all her problems came to an end just with a single transaction that she could never even imagine of.
“I can’t put it into words. It was insane. I could not believe it,” Khurram said.
Moreover, she further added, “It’s more than what I asked for. She is just so generous. I literally cried myself to sleep last night. This is the kind of thing you don’t expect. You don’t even dream about it. In no corner of your brain are you thinking, ‘Taylor Swift is going to send me money and help me out.’
Less University Funding Added to Her Woes
Also, Ayesha even mentioned after all this about how she was getting less funds this year from the Ontario Student Assistance Program. Her tuition fee increased this year, and she had to pay somewhat around $9000 this time. However, everything fell into place after Taylor made this huge gesture.
As a matter of fact, it’s not only Ayesha; in fact, her family too, is in a state of shock to receive such a huge amount from an American singer. It’s like the best thing that happened to the Khurram family this year.
“It feels like this huge burden has been lifted off me. I literally feel so happy. I’m going to go out. I’m going to eat a burger. I’m going to watch a movie. I’m just going to celebrate, like fully. I can’t believe this has happened to me.” “She is literally my favourite person on the planet,” Khurram added.
Also, the family has been through a lot over the past few years. Her mother recently got diagnosed with chronic kidney disease. It was a tough time for the family but all thanks to Taylor for being the hero here.
